Why AGM over a regular battery

AGM batteries handle deep discharge and rapid recharge cycles far better than old-school flooded lead acid. Every time your engine cuts out at the lights and restarts, that’s a cycle. Do that a few hundred times a week across a normal commute and a conventional battery wears out fast. The A5 is rated for roughly three times the cycle life, so it’s built to actually last under that kind of daily punishment rather than just survive it.

It also recovers charge quickly through regenerative braking, which matters if your car relies on that to keep the battery topped up rather than a constant alternator draw.
